Controller

Description

The Controller will be responsible for directing the company’s accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives. He/She will prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to top management. Ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years management experience with hands-on expertise in all facets of accounting. Applicants must have strong communication skills, a pro-active leadership style and positive team focus. Proficiency in MS Excel and Quickbooks is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures utilizing Quickbooks
  • Manage all A/R, Billing and Collection activity
  • Prepare & post all J/E, close monthly G/L, prepare & review F/S with management discussion of variances
  • Process A/P activity
  • Reconcile major bank accounts each month
  • Handle many HR functions (ie., garnishments, 401(k) transactions, etc.)
  • Develop internal controls, budgeting, planning & analysis, and other projects as directed by Senior Management

Experience/Skills Desired

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to update existing and create new documents to include on-line documentation.
  • Work with management, engineering and support staff to obtain source information.
  • Determine time and effort required preparing the documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely distribution of the documentation
  • Support preparation and publication of formal documentation in a technical or IS environment.

Experience/Skills Desired

  • Past and Relevant experience is a must. Experience with computer programming is a definite bonus. Self guided and an independent worker is a must. Be able to understand complex technical concepts and work with engineering participants in fixed amounts of time to get results.
  • Specific skills/experience required in design, development and preparation of formal user guides, including documentation guidelines and software system analysis and design documents.
  • Able to reformulate and make information understandable for user level.
  • Work closely with team members, interpret results of technical data and make recommendations needed to produce product documentation and the ability to present the information to the target customers

You will serve as a senior member of the Engineering Group and must be an expert in the field of Software “White Box” source code analysis and software process interpretation. These positions are critical to a successful and quality delivery to customers. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in handling large and complex projects and be an expert in the C, C++ and Java languages and Software Process on how source code really gets built…not just the academic theory. These positions have high visibility to Senior Management and Customers and candidates must have superior communication skills both verbal and written.

Key Responsibilities

  • To define, develop, documents and implement systems/software development processes and methodologies in collaboration with the engineering staff.
  • To facilitate identification of areas or processes in need of improvement and process definition and implementation based upon Software System “White Box” analysis data.
  • To baseline metrics in order to measure improvement.
  • To define new measures/metrics.
  • Develop throughput measurement and tracking technology.
  • Reduce Service Delivery Risks By:
    • Develop stronger service problem identification techniques

  • Perform Interpretation Functions:
