What is Application Security Testing?

Application Security Testing (AST), also called white box testing or static code analysis, is the process of identifying and preventing vulnerabilities in applications. Testing should be done throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to address any gaps in a timely and effective fashion. Sadly, testing tends to be executed only at the end of the SDLC and using only one tool.  PSC’s proprietary platform collects security data from several static code analysis tools. By generating a big data security footprint, PSC proactively protects the assets you have created from application level threats or exploitations. PSC’s unique technology and approach mitigates malicious code, cryptography, exception management and parameter manipulation to name just a few of 1000(s) security risks we identify.
